Celista was born in 1821 probably in Pittsfield or maybe Argyle. She was the daughter of Abraham Sibley and Mehitable Robischaud. She passed away probably before 1850 census as she is not with her husband or child Emma.
According to the book Sibley Family In America second edition Celista is belived to have had two illegitimate sons Cyrus and Adoniram.
