Wash DC, Mt Vernon, Arlington cemetary also the skyline drive through the mts sure was a nice trip. Have been busy in the garden since we got home. Was wondering if you have cherries we have a lot of them those trees are full that we picked when Richard & Harold sat under & got wet ask Richard if he still remembers call up when you get to the phone Will have to get this out to the box Just wrote to Juanita so am doing this in a hurry. Harriet Anniversary card to EW and Bertha Thomas, Mar 1955: Sat morning Hi, Since I don't get up will write a few lines. Since you were here I have been all done out. I had 2 roots to be pulled one that I did not know I had only that the xray showed it. Was it ever a hard one to get out. I was all in by the time he got them out then they were both bad. the poison backed up my face swelled did it ever hurt had to go to the Doctor to get pen shots I still am rather weak have done nothing but lay around here Hope I can do better pretty soon. Thanks for the card. Also hope you have been OK The weather is quite different than it was the year you got married anyway not quite as much mud. Although we have had some hard rain. Will have Naomi take this out so will go today so all for now Harriet. Harriet died at Woodlawn Nursing home.
