DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Andrew by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Andrew:

Have you taken a DNA test? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

PS One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Thank you for signing the Honor Code, Andrew!

As a recommendation, you may want to edit your tags to show the region where you are researching surnames. The clickable tags we follow and the comments we make about them at WikiTree help us collaborate with other members. Click the green tags on your top right of your profile page and see others following the same things you are researching. The more tags you add (20 max.) that include surnames, locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to the community research options you will have. This link may help you learn more about tags.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let me know by using the "reply" link under my comment, or by clicking my name to visit my profile. From there, you can leave a comment, or send a private message.

Hi Andrew:

First welcome to WikiTree, I saw that you just joined in May this year! Glad to have you aboard!

The reason I am writing is that I noticed you chose our Integrators Challenge for this month. Was you actually wanting to participate or was it in error??

Because what we do is try to find G2G questions that are a couple years old etc that ask for research of a particular family or ancestor, and then we create new profiles assisting them along the way.

Also one must be with WikiTree about 3 months to participate. Please see this page for more info: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Integrators_Challenge

Thanks, Dorothy B. Integrator project coordinator.

Hi Dorthy, I think I joined in error. Still finding my way around this place.

Looking forward to participating in projects in the future when I get my tree cleaned up.

Welcome

I am pleased to confirm and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person.

I hope you enjoy the site.

You currently have a Guest account which means you can edit your own profile and use our profile database and G2G Forum for genealogical research. When you are ready add or edit profiles, please visit your Followed Tags page to add some information to your Tags and Comments.

We use the tags & comments to help you connect with other genealogists. Examples are in the right column on my profile. The tags also control what is included in family activity emails from WikiTree.

After you have made your changes, scroll down and click the "Save Tag(s) and Volunteer" link in the big green box. That will alert the Greeter on duty who will get you confirmed. Don't worry, you would only be volunteering to abide by our community guidelines and add profiles for your family.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let us know by using the "reply" link under our comments or by clicking our names to visit our profiles. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.
