Biography
Fonger Doedes Sierxma / Sierksma / Popma: Children: Sierck, Douwe (1445, married Aal), most likely Rints (Rixt), who married Pier Gerloffs Donia. Both born around 1470. Rints (Rinsje) had the surname Syrtsema (the only person, apparently, to have it at the time), thus I’m guessing Fonger’s father was named Sierck. She married Grutte Pier, or Pier Gerloffs Donia (see following article). There was also, according to the quaclappen, a woman named Feyck Syrtsma who died in 1555. She may have been a daughter of Fonger too.[1]
