Biography
John Henry Sievers was born in Illinois on 20 Mar 1873. His parents were Johann Heinrich Sievers and Catharina Dorothea Maria Höbermann. In 1899, John was married with Dora Behrens (born 9 Jul 1876 in Germany, died 16 Aug 1937 in Buena Vista/Iowa). John died in Iowa on 15 Nov 1949.[1]
John Henry Sievers was born in Proviso, Cook County, Illinois.[2]
At the time of the US 1880 census, John Sievers (age 7, born in Illinois) was living in Grant, Buena Vista, Iowa with his parents (Henry and Katie Sievers), six siblings and grandfather.[3]
John Sievers (age 26, parents Heinrich Sievers and Dorothea Hoeberman) and Dorothea M Behrens (age 23, parents Heinrich Behrens and Sophia Brockman) were married in Buena Vista, Iowa on 26 Oct 1899.[4]
At the time of the US 1920 census, John and Dora Sievers were living in Grant with four children.[5]
At the time of the Iowa 1925 census, John H and Dora M Sievers were living in Elk Township, Buena Vista, Iowa with four children.[6]
John Henry Sievers (born 20 Mar 1873) died on 15 Nov 1948 and was buried in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Storm Lake, Buena Vista, Iowa.[7]
