Charles came to Canada with his brother John in 1818 on the Brunswick. Both were single at that time. Both are mentionedin the book "The Talbot Regime" as being one of the 1st settlers to come to Canada and settle in the Talbot Settlement, London Ontario. 31st Aug. 1834, Charles received a Land Patent for Concession 6, S1/2 Lot 13, 100 acres London Township .
