Elizabeth "Betsy" Sigler was born about 1782 in Virginia, most likely Loudon County. She was the daughter of Jacob Sigler. She was listed in her father Jacob's last will, dated 01 Apr 1817, as "Betsy Nall".[1]
She married Larkin Nall about 1796 (although some genealogists suggest it might have been its late as 1805) in North Carolina, most likely Rowan County.
After Larkin's death, she married Aaron Purdy on 7 June 1823, in Caldwell County, Kentucky.[2]
She died in 1864 in Hopkins, Kentucky
Research Notes
"Jacob Siglar" was enumerated in the 1800 census as head of household in Salisbury, Rowan, North Carolina. He was recorded as age 26 thru 44 (birth year range 1756 - 1774), so appers to be too young to be her father.[3]
