Biography

See notes under her husband.

Trijn was born at the end of some years of missing baptism records. Her father buried a Trijn the year before, so our Trijn must have been born soon after that.

Trijn Sijmons made profession of faith on May 10 1742.

Trijn married Klaas Dirksz Zwagerman. Children: Pieter (July 20 1749), Bregje (Nov 25 1752), Cornelis (June 5 1757, died 2 days later), Geertje (May 4 1760). Claas died Oct 9 1773 and was buried by his son Pieter.

In a Testament dated Feb 20 1751, Trijn was married to Klaas Dirks Zwagerman. In a testament dated Feb 4 1784, Trijntje's son was Dirk Klaasz Zwagerman and his wife was Willempje Dirks Leen.

Trijn was living in Wervershoof by 1784. She died in Wervershoof, but was buried in Medemblik.

I did some research and discovered Trijn Simons Bakker did indeed marry Klaas Dirksz Zwagerman. I've disconnected the other marriage (we now know it was definitely a different Trijn Simons; I don't know which one). I've added information on Trijn's and Klaas' family, including their deaths. While I didn't find their marriage record, the two notary documents prove their marriage without any doubt.

That's great, thank you very much! I did not see this message until I landed on this page, perhaps I didn't tick the Email me if someone replies box. I did receive your email, I will reply soon! I am deeply involved in the Best family, I wonder if we are going to have to let the two brothers who have the name Pieter Dirksz Best live at the same time. I am checking a few other family relationships as I go along, that's why there may have been a few odd comments here and there on various profiles!

On this profile, would you be able to add Swagerman-21 as a son?

I have a Dirk Zwagerman born in 1746 that I am looking for the parents of. Via this notarial record [1] and this notarial record [2], I worked out that it's Trijn Simons Bakker (Kooiman). The family relationships with Simon Klaasz Bakker being an Uncle to Pieter Reinders Kooijman, and Trijntje's sister Ida/Ijtje being married to Jakob Pieters Mantel all fit, however how this woman here got to be wife of Klaas Dirks Zwagerman and had a baby with him in 1746 is not immediately obvious.
