Biography

Lorenia Sikes was enumerated as daughter at Sulphur, Miller County, Arkansas for the June 30, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as born 1873 in Arkansas and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self William Sikes, wife Susanar Sikes, son John Sikes, daughter May Sikes and daughter Barnitta Sikes.^[1]

Hattie L Sykes wed J M Hooper in Miller County as recorded in her November 2, 1890 Arkansas Marriage. Hattie was a resident of Bright Star, Miller County, Arkansas and he was a resident of Queen City, Cass County, Texas as seen in an image of the original marriage records.^[2]

Hatty Hooper was enumerated as wife of the head of household in ED 125 Sulphur Township (north part), Miller County, Arkansas for the June 5, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born June 1872 in Georgia and had been married for twelve years. She was the mother of three children of which two were still living.
