Biography

Douglas Sikes was born August 15, 1919 in Arkansas to father Tandy Belton Sikes and mother Lonie Mae Brazzell.^[1]

Douglas Sikes was enumerated as son of the head of household at Big Springs Road, Sulphur, Miller County, Arkansas for the January 21, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born October 1918 in Arkansas and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Belton Sikes, wife Lonie Sikes, daughter Myrtle Sikes, son Daris Sikes, daughter Ginetta Sikes and boarder Claud Jackson.^[2]
