She married John Ward on November 5, 1798 at All Saints in Wigan, Lancashire. They both signed with their mark X and the parish record states that they were both of Orrell and were married after Banns by John Gibson. Witnesses were Wm. Bancks and David Mayson (sic). They had 1 daughter named Alice and John's occupation was listed as collier at her baptism.[2]
