Aaron was born in 1776 in Edgmont Township, Chester County (now part of Delaware County), Pennsylvania. He was the oldest son of James Sill and Sarah Sill.
Aaron's mother died on 25 September 1797 in Edgmont Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
Aaron was named in his father James Sill's will, dated 23 May 1798, in Edgmont Township, Delware County, Pennsylvania. His father died before the will was proved on 22 October 1798.[1] Aaron and his brother James inherited their father's estate in Edgmont Township, which contained 183 acres of land.
Aaron was listed in the 1800 census for Edgmont Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, enumerating 1 male age 11-16 (brother Nehemiah, 15) and 1 male age 17-26 (Aaron, 26). Aaron was listed next to his cousin William Sill (George's son) and his oldest cousin James Sill (Joseph's son), who took in his other brothers.[2]
Aaron married Hannah Johnson shortly after the enumeration of the 1800 census.
Aaron, carpenter, and wife Hannah signed a quit claim to settle the estate of his father, dated 1 June 1804, recorded on 14 December 1804.[3] Aaron's brother James and his wife Sarah also signed a quit claim to settle their father's estate, dated 1 June 1804, recorded 5 December 1804.[4] Aaron, carpenter, and wife Hannah sold his share of the estate to Henry Bowman on 4 June 1804, recorded 5 Aug 1804.[5]
Aaron and his wife Hannah raised their family in Edgmont Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.[6][7]
His wife Hannah died and was buried on 18 April 1821 at Middletown Cemetery in Lima, Middletown Towship, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.[8]
Aaron continued to live in Edgmont Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, with his family.[9][10] By 1850, his cousin Thomas J Sill and wife Elizabeth were living in his household.[11]
Aaron died sometime before 25 August 1851, when his brother James was appointed by the Orphan's Court to settle Aaron's estate and sell Aaron's land to the highest bidder. Thomas J Sill paid $6395.77 for the land on 28 November 1851.[12]
