In 1910, she lived in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.^[2] In 1920, she lived on North 13th Street in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas. Her father had passed away and her mother had remarried, but he is not listed on the census. He was a sheriff in Fort Smith and may have been away. Her sister Mary lived in the home, and Henry Walker listed as brother-in-law (not sure of his family connection). They had two lodgers living in the home (Wiley and Sam Tinner).^[3]

Minnie married John Roy Tankersley Sr on October 8, 1927 in Crawford County, Arkansas.^[4][5] After her marriage, she lived at 421 North 4th Street in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.^[6]
