Biography

John was the son of Samuel III and Judith (Colby) Silver - baptized on 22 Dec 1763 at Amesbury, Essex, MA

John married Mary Buell in NH - their family consisted of six sons and two daughters, all born at Hopkinton, NH

They left NH in 1830 and moved to IN and on to MI.

John was a Veteran of the War of 1812, as well as two of his sons, Jacob and Jeremiah

By occupation he was a brick mason.

John died at age 79 at Cleveland, Leelanau, MI in 1843 and is buried at Edwardsburg, Cass, MI
