Biography

William was born in 1868. He is the son of William Silvester and Susannah (Perryman) Silvester.

In 1871, Susanah Silvester (59 b Birmingham, Warwickshire), a married Stay Maker, was head of household at St George, Birmingham. Also present were her children George Yenn (18 b Birmingham, Warwickshire), a Electro Plate Maker-Up, Mary A Yenn (16 b Birmingham, Warwickshire), a Warehouse Worker, Alfred Yenn (13 b Birmingham, Warwickshire), a Scholar, and William Silvester (2 b Birmingham, Warwickshire). Also present was a boarder Edwd Keith (20 b Rhyl, North Wales).

In 1881, William Crowson (27 b Bham, Warwickshire), a Electro Plate Worker, was head of household at Wheeler St, Aston, Warwickshire. Also present were his wife Mary A Crowson (26 b Bham, Warwickshire),a Stay Maker, and children Mary A Crowson (2 b Bham, Warwickshire), Alice S Crowson (1 b Bham, Warwickshire) and William Crowson (0 b Bham, Warwickshire). Also present were lodgers William Sylvester (42 b Bham, Warwickshire), a Pearl Button Maker, his wife Susannah Sylvester (49 b Bham, Warwickshire), a Stay Maker, and their son William Sylvester (12 b Bham, Warwickshire), a Scholar.

In 1891, William Sylvester (51 b Warwickshire), a Beer House Keeper, was head of household at Brearley Street, St. George parish, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Also present were his wife Susannah Silvester (57 b Warwickshire), son William Silvester (12 b Warwickshire) and granddaughter Rose Yenn (15 b Warwickshire).
