Susan Simmons was born about Jun 1830 in Pendleton, Virginia, United States (WV, USA). She is the daughter of Jacob R. Simmons (1807–1860) and Mary Magdelena Moats (1807–~1860).

Susan (23) married Solomon Carr (20) on 23 Jan 1854 in Pickens, Randolph County, Va, (WV, USA). Solomon was a son of Eli Carr and Martha Patricia "Betsy" White. He was born on January 01, 1834 in Middle Mountain, Pendleton-Grant county line, West Virginia and died January 23, 1909 in Bethel, Mercer County, West Virginia. He is buried in Bethel Cemetery, Job, Randolph County, West Virginia. [1]
