Peter Simmons and his wife, Elizabeth, appear in the New Garden Monthly Meeting Minutes of the Society of Friends in North Carolina, where their sons, Ryal (Royal) and Charles are also given. Both sons were received on request into the Society in 1781. Ryal married Ruth (born 5-31-1766, p. 500), the daughter of William & Susanna Hiatt, on December 6, 1781. Charles married Elizabeth (born 5-12-1763, p. 504), the daughter of Samuel & Catherine Jackson on March 8, 1786.
