Captain William Simonds II performed Patriotic Service in Vermont Republic in the American Revolution.

William Simonds II is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A104008.

William Simonds/Simmons was born on 17 January 1725, and baptized 17 January 1725, in Lexington, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay. He was the son of William Simonds (1700-bef.1757) and Elisabeth (Pushee) Simonds (abt.1704-1791).[1][2][3]

William Simonds and his wife Susanna were members of the The Old Rockingham Meeting House on October 27, 1773. He was one of 18 original members in this church. The actual church was erected 1787 and was the First Church in Rockingham Vermont. The Church existed from 1773-1840.[4]

William Simonds was a member of the Committee of Safety of Rockingham, Vermont in 1776. In 1781, he served as Captain in Colonel Bradley's Regiment, Vermont Troops.[5][6]

William died (age 94) on 2 June 1817 in Rockingham, Vermont, United States.[7] William is buried at the Rockingham Meeting House Cemetery in Rockingham, Windham County, Vermont.[8]
