Ernst Simonsen was born on June 30, 1881 [1] in Rongotea, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand. His parents were Julius Simonsen and Johanna Fiche [1]. He married Emma Hintz in 1919 [2]. He died on July 12, 1958 [3] and was buried in Whakatane, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.
