Biography

William Christian Simonsen was born on October 23, 1884 in Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah, United States. His parents were Christen Simonsen and Thora Caroline Amalie Pedersen, both born in Denmark.

He married Minnie Matilda Bjerregaard on September 5, 1906 in Manti, Sanpete County, Utah.[1][2][3] They lived in Gunnison, Centerfield, and later in Axtell, all in Sanpete County, Utah. They had four children.

  1. Ethel Simonsen was born on December 17, 1904 in Ephraim.
  2. Rachel Simonsen was born on December 8, 1908 in Christianburg, Sanpete County, Utah.
  3. Minnie Arzell Simonsen was born on October 9, 1911 in Gunnison.[4]
  4. Ruth Simonsen was born on June 17, 1916 in Axtell.

William passed away at an age of eighty-two on Autust 28,1967 in Axtell. He is buried in the Ephraim Park Cemetery[5][6]
