Biography

Rev. John Simpson was a Methodist preacher, born in Ireland 1st March 1745. [1]

He arrived in America, August 12, 1791. He settled Greene County, Pennsylvania in the fall of 1796. He was licensed to preach September 22nd 1798. [2]

The Rev. John Simpson died at home in Morris township in 1845. His death is recorded on his gravestone as 1st January 1845 ages 87 years and 10 months in Greene County, Pennsylvania, United States; he is buried in Green Grove Cemetery. [4]
