Laban Simpson was a Virginia colonist.

Laban[1] was born about 1718 at Accomack County, Virginia. He was the son of Samuel Simpson and Sarah Parker. He married Esther Barnes about 1758.

Laban was born circa 1718 at Accomack Co, VA.

Laban was named in his father's will on 16 August 1756 at Accomack Co, VA.[2]

He married Esther Barnes, daughter of William Barnes and Susannah Parker, about 1758.[3]

Laban bought land in 1759 at Accomack Co, VA. He bought 50 acres of the Jacob Dix part of Whitelaw's tract A103, which is at the corner of the present day Parksley Road and US Route 13, from Edmund Allen. Ten years later his executor joined the widow Esther is a sale to Nathaniel Coverly, Hatter..[4]

Laban was living on 14 March 1760 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Laban Simpson, Thomas Cropper, and William Evans witnessed the will of Scarburgh West..[5] Anecdote - Laban inherited part of Whitelaw's tract A95 from his parents and seven years later left it to his son Hancock Simpson.[6]

Laban witnessed a will on 13 September 1765 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Laban Simpson, George Hickman & Sarah Hickman witnessed the will of William Hickman Sr., wife Christian.[7]

Laban made a will before 28 April 1767 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Laban Simpson's undated will was probated. Father in law William Barns and wife Esther were executors. Land bought of Capt Edmund Allen to be sold if personal estate is not sufficient to pay my debts. Wife to have use of whole estate during her widowhood. Not witnessed, not signed. Proved by James Henry and Southy Simpson. In order of probate Littleton Dennis appointed guardian to Hancock Simpson, heir at law to the testator.[8]
