Margaret Simpson was born April 17, 1782.[1]
In 1805 she became a member of the Presbyterian Church in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States.[2]
On December 31, 1807 she married Hugh King in Pennsylvania or Ohio, USA.[1] Their children are
In 1810 she began living in Columbiana County, Ohio, United States.[2]
Margaret died on January 5, 1845 in Franklin Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, United States.[1][2] She is buried there in Bethesda Cemetery.[3] Her obituary on January 27, 1845 in the "Ohio Patriot" (Columbiana, Ohio, United States) reads; "Died on the morning of the 5th inst, at the residence of her husband in Franklin Tp. Col Co. Mrs Margaret consort of Hugh King, aged 63 years. For the last 35 years, Mrs King was a resident of this county and during all that time lived in the same neighborhood....during all her protracted illness, occasioned by a Cancerous affliction of the breast and lungs she was never heard to utter a single murmer. Early in life she joined the Presbyterian Church under the ministry of Rev J Graham, in Allegheny Co Pa, and for more than 40 years walked blamelessly...Her husband and family sustained an irreparable loss."[2]
