1850 Census. Thomas Simpson was 72 b. in North Carolina and living with his two daughters in Limestone, Alabama. This record shows he was born in 1778 in NC. The two daughters in the home were:

Catherine age 47 b. in Georgia; and

Cynthia age 40 b. in Georgia. ^[1]

1860 Census. J. P. Barnett was living with his spouse, Malinda, along with 10 children; Malinda's father, Thomas Simpson age 87 b. in Georgia; Malinda;s sister, Synthia (Cynthia) Simpson age 52 b. in TN; and Benjn Louis, age 63 born in Virginia (?). They were living in the 16th Dist of Madison, TN.^[2]
