Jake was born in 1917.

From the Miami News-Record (Miami, Oklahoma), 10 Jan 1939:

"Mr. and Mrs. Lee Simpson enjoyed the day Sunday when all their children gathered at their farm home here. They were dinner guests and included Mr. and Mrs. Ray McCleary and family of Peoria, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cardwell and son of Baxter Springs, Kas., Mr. and Mrs. Ross Bowser and son of Quapaw, Bennie, John, and Jake Simpson." [1]

He passed away in 1973.
