Hi Topher,

How about we work on removing profiles from your watchlist that are not your direct family? Or do you have some other thoughts about how to reduce your watchlist?

Before adding new profiles, please make some dedicated efforts to source the over 1000 unsourced profiles you manage. https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Category:Unsourced%20Profiles&u=7772134

Hi Topher

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The United States Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Let me know by using the "reply" link under my comments or by clicking my name to visit my profile. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.

Hello Topher,

I'm looking forward to working with you on those profiles!

Hi, Again Topher. I still don't see you added to the two sons of Lola OR to Lola herself? I accepted your trusted requests. If, through their auDNA matches you can find a family that you can prove is connected to Olin, please recontact me.

Also, as mentioned, the father, Olin, is an older generation male McManus. We have been looking for a living male McManus of this line to test and match our 4 proved links back to 1750s. This research has taken many years and I prefer to keep the earlier male generations with only one manager. Since my work has not been completed for these NEWER generations, I do not mind your improving them as I will spend the rest of my life cleaning up my 1800 GEDCOM entries that need reformating. I hope you understand.

Of course, if you find any primary evidence source that matches an AU tester, I'd love to hear about it.

Hello Topher, Forgive my slow response. I have added you to Lola's profile as a co-manager. If you want to manage her sons, please send me a Trusted List Request for each. I'd prefer not to co-manage the yDNA McManus line as it ends up with way too many managers and data with resulting confusion. I've been working this line for 20+ years and now my responsibility is to clean up the way too big Gedcom I created! Your request pointed me to one that needed clean up . . . . . Thank you!

Topher, you work hard and you're a great genealogist, but please disconnect your James Bartlett Sims out of the tree of Parish Sims.

William Sims-5279, b. 1796 in Hawkins, TN, d. 1847 in Columbus, Lowndes, MS, lived near his mother, Grizel Kessiah Sims, widow of Parish Sims who married William Cocke, until she died in 1820. Most of these siblings lived out their lives in Lowndes and surrounding counties, MS. As you can see, these Sims of Limestone County, AL, are not painted with the same brush as those from Giles County, TN. Comparing Kit JQ5465276 (P. A. Sims) [AncestryDNA V4] and M141925 (Joe Bamberg) [Migration - V3] - M] No shared DNA segments found.Comparing Kit A228235 (P. A. Sims) [Migration - F2 - A] and A136795 (*BR) [Migration - F2 - A] No shared DNA segments found.

Be sure to check out the Connectors project page to see some of what we do, our To-Do lists which have folks who need connected to our Global Tree, and please add the connectors tag to your G2G feed. We've also got a great sub-project, Connectors Chat, where we talk about what we're working on and where we'd like to help out. Hi Topher,

Thank you for your contributions to our tree. I notice that you have been helping with categories and setting up needed merges. This is appreciated.

But please be careful when adding data from your gedcom. In some cases, it is just adding things like "No biography yet." on profiles where biographies exist, or it is adding other "gedcom junk" that should be deleted.

Thanks !
