Biography
Emmeline (Sims) Gregory was born in Appalachia, in Alabama.
When Martha Louisa Emmeline Sims was born on April 21, 1859, in Marshall, Alabama, her father, John, was 35, and her mother, Catherine, was 29. She married Jonathan 'John' Henry Gregory (1853-1927) on December 22, 1877, in her hometown.[1] She died on August 30, 1940, in Walker, Alabama,[2] at the age of 81, and was buried in Jasper, Alabama.[3]
