I am a substitute teacher/graduate student. I live in El Paso, Texas. I am researching my family history. So far, I have managed to trace my father's family back to the late 1500s and my mother's family back to the late 1200s. I am Black and unfortunately, because of this, I have only been able to trace the Black people in my family back to around 1825.
