Research Notes
Re birth location. There were not births registered for James Sims or Syms in Taunton registration district between 1839 and 1841. The fact there is a birth location of London and another not known when other family members were Taunton makes me think his birth was in the london area.
His marriage certificate would give his father's name and occupation which might help.
