Biography

Elizabeth Collins Sims was born in 1871 at Witney in Oxfordshire. She was the daughter of Thomas Sims and his wife Sarah, born Sarah Ann Hockey. ^{[1] [2]}

In 1881 Elizabeth C. Sims was living at 53 West Street in Fareham in Hampshire with Sarah Collins, a 70 year old widow, and Mary E. Hockey. She was described as Sarah's niece, as was Mary. [It is perhaps more likely that Sarah Collins was her great aunt.] Elizabeth's age was given as 9, implying a birth date in 1871 or 1872. Her birthplace was given as Witney, Oxfordshire. She was at school. ^[2]

Elizabeth died at Witney on 14 December 1881 at the age of 10. ^{[3] [4]}
