Biography
Sarah was born about 1788 (aged "just 15" in 1803), probably in Lebanon, to George Sims and Caroline Hyde.[1]
She and her two sisters were baptized at Lebanon on August 3, 1794.[2]
Sarah "Sally" received $17.11 of her father's estate in 1803.[3]
Sarah married February 9, 1812 Ansel Clark, at Lebanon.[4] They had:

- Caroline H, b. abt. 1833 in Maine
- Hanna Elizabeth, b. abt. 1835 in Maine
They settled at Gardner, Me. And were presumably living there when she contributed in 1859 to the "Hyde Genealogy" (1864).[4]
Her husband Ansyl died in 1870, and is buried at Gardiner, Maine.
Sarah moved with her two daughters and son-in-law to Burlington, Des Moines, Iowa, where she appears with them on the 1880 census.[5]
She died November 15, 1881, and is buried at the Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, Iowa (note: no gravestone photo as of October 8, 2019).[6]
