The name is actually listed as "Griffin" and not "Griffith." On the 1850 Census with Richard B Harrison, her husband, her siblings are listed above, all "Mims." Ellen, a sibling, is listed as "Ellen Griffin."

Her maiden name may be incorrect. per her son Elam Preston Harrison's records:

Her maiden name is listed as Griffith.

Ancestry.com. U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2015.

Her maiden name is listed as Mimms

"California Death Index, 1940-1997," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VPFT-JLW : 26 November 2014), Mimms in entry for Elam Preston Harrison, 04 Feb 1955; Department of Public Health Services, Sacramento.

I have not found any records that confirms her maiden name as Sims. It is unlikely that she has a sister named Nancy Rebecca Sims (Sims-1329} whose maiden's name has been confirmed by two sources to be Sims...

so most likely this Nancy is NOT the correct daughter for William Sims and Elizabeth (Milner) Sims... She is listed in the 1850 census with husband... Nancy Rebecca is listed with the 1850s with William and Elizabeth Milner
