Biography

Zachariah R. Sims was born on January 26, 1811 in North Carolina, USA as the first child of Vy and Susan Sims^[1].

When he was 24, he married Elizabeth Jane Adams, daughter of Archibald C. Adams and Frances McClure Dryden, on March 7, 1839 in Greene, Missouri^[2]. After Frances death he married Susan McRary^[3] (~1808 - 1891) on June 30, 1857 in Greene.

By 1839 Zachariah was in Robberson, Greene, Missouri, USA^[2] , where he farmed for the rest of his life^[4][5][6][7]. Zachariah died on September 10, 1882 in Springfield, Greene, Missouri aged 71, and was buried at Mount Comfort Church in Franklin^[1].
