Amy was born in 1730 or 1716. She passed away Sept. 10th, 1823 (Record from Old Wait Bible; see "Death" note below).
Amy is the daughter of Thomas Sims, wife of Absalom Bobo, mother of Nancy and others:

Death: Records from Old Wait Bible, online at Findagrave Memorial #7502126. (This source has been at two previous web addresses, both of which are now defunct. Luckily, I found the same record that I have now posted at Findagrave.) In the notes below the burial info there is a box that says, "Read More." Click on that on you will see the Bible record.
Note: Absalom's & Amy's daughter Nancy Bobo married Wm Powell and one of their daughters, Rhoda, married Phillip Wait. The Bible is on this side of the family. It records both Absolom's and Amy's deaths. There are no others in the Bible's records with the surname Bobo.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Amy by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Amy:
Sims-3932 and Sims-3910 appear to represent the same person because: they share a similar birthdate, the same parents, the same siblings and the same spouse, Absalom Bobo. The difference in death dates needs to be rectified.
Sims-3932 and Sims-94 appear to represent the same person because: they share the same birthdate, the same parents, the same siblings and the same spouse, Absalom Bobo. The difference in death dates needs to be rectified.
I am working on the Bobo line. I'll be adding sources and information to this and other profiles.
