Hello Bill. I will be interested to watch your work here. I hope you have done your YDna. My ancestor, Margaret Jane Sinclair came from Ballymena Antrim as a child during the potato famine. She was given work in or near Three Rivers, Quebec Canada among other Irish immigrants. The story goes that she came with her aunt and uncle, probably named Sinclair, and they went further west. None of them could write, so she never heard more of them. Coleraine (which I believe is County Londonderry) is very close to where she came from. Hope we can help each other.

Hi Carolyn,

I managed to find my Mitochondrial Maternal (V) and Y-Chromosome Paternal (R-Z30) Haplogroups and added them to my wiki tree as you suggested. I do not know where my GED match id is on 23andMe so I have not added that.

We will see what this brings.

Cheers, Bill Sinclair

I hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor. Genealogy to me is like being a detective looking for clues into the past.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!
