Biography

John Sineath was born about 1780, and died between 1821 and 1830, in Colleton County, South Carolina.He married Sarah Davis, a daughter of Ichabod and Telitha Davis, who was born 1780- 1784 in North Carolina and died 1831-1840. Census records and the will of William Barney Sineath confirm that John and Sarah had these children:[Bauer, page 8]:

i. A daughter (name not given) who died before 1850
ii. Mary A., born March 24, 1808
iii. Peter, born 1810
iv. Priscilla, born Oct. 20, 1812;died Aug. 8, 1882 in Berrien Co., Georgia
v. Margaret, born 1818
vi. William Barney, born 1822

They also had several sons who died in infancy.
