Biography

William Singletary was born 1 February 1599 in Surfleet, Lincolnshire, England, He was the son of Francis Singletary and Agnes Cook.

He married Elizabeth Fish of Long Sutton, Lincolnshire 6 May, 1625.

Note

There are some genealogies that state he died in 1625 in Massachusetts. It is possible that the newlyweds traveled to the New World, but William died in transit or shortly after arrival. Savage lists him as one of the early settlers, so it seems unlikely he died in 1615. No further information has been found to date.
