Biography

Sidney Byrne Singleton was born in Braxton County, West Virginia on February 29, 1869^[1]. He was the son of William K. Singleton and his wife Eliza Jane.

At the time of the 1880 U.S. Census, Wm K, Elisa J, Wm Floyd, Lee Jackson, Birdie, Taylor Eston, Luther P, Sydney B, Chas E, Newton, Gertrude A, and Dora Bell Singleton were listed as living in Salt Lick, Braxton County^[2].

At the time of the 1920 U.S. Census, Sidney B, Martha J, Germie B, Evertt R, Howard G, Floda B, Bassil B, and Dewey O Singleton were listed as living in Salt Lick^[3]. At the time of the census, Sidney's occupation was listed as "Farmer".

Sidney married Martha J. Siers in Braxton County on November 22, 1896^[4].
