  • Obituary

Western Age (Dubbo, NSW : 1914 - 1932) Fri 13 Jul 1923 Page 2

Mr. Ernest Samuel Singleton, eldest son of Mrs. Singleton, Brooklyn,' Miowera, died at Randwick Military Hospital on Friday last, from an internal complaint, the result of war service. The deceased, who was married since his return from abroad, followed pastoral pursuits in the interior of Queensland. He only came to Sydney recently seeking medical advice about his illness, which had lately become noticeable, but which it seems was traceable to the effects of gas. Mr. Singleton's body was brought to Miowera siding by train from Sydney, and then conveyed to a private cemetery at his mother's home, where his father, who died suddenly three years ago, is also buried. Rev. E. S. Woolley conducted the burial service, and a large number of relatives and friends were present.
