Hello again! I posted a comment two weeks ago and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well! Do you want to remain in the Germany Project? If I don’t hear back from you by the end of November, I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, always welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes, Traci ~ Germany Project co-leader

Hi,

The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.

Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi,

The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.

REMINDERS: (1) We use Google Groups for project collaboration and you aren’t yet a member of the group, please submit a join request here (make sure to add your name/WikiTree ID to the request). (2) add GERMANY to your followed G2G tags so you don't miss any discussions in G2G (see: Help:Tags#How_to_follow_tags Help:Tags).

Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list. We recently launched a new Profile Improvement Team and are seeking new team members. Let me know if you’re interested.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Well, I'll stay a part of the project, but I am very busy with life, so it will be minimal.

Thanks for responding . The only participation requirement for the Germany Project is answering at check-in time - which you just did. We're glad you're staying with us.

Hi --

You’ve been here about a week, so I’m just checking in. How is it going so far? Were the How-Tos helpful or did they leave you with questions?

We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

PS Sometimes links don't work in emails. You can always find a link that works in the public comments on your profile.

sorry, I meant to post a link to Projects - https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Projects - or you can click Projects in the dropdown menu under "Find" in the mini-menu at upper right on your profile page, which takes you to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Projects

The New Member How-To link that Dorothy posted will get you started.

Have fun!

ah. Pretty lavender soap :D You asked what was easy to volunteer for: the easiest! You already did! You volunteered to help WikiTree with its goal of a single, global tree. You could
  • contribute your branches (entering your family tree),
  • help to tend the branches already entered (search for profiles of distant ancestors and contribute to the sources and information on them), or
  • work with a project that piques your interest.

For instance, I've been working with the Magna Carta Project ever since one of my ancestors was tagged with a category used by the project & I discovered I might have illustrious ancestors (my ancestor possibly being the youngest son of a famous family instead of him being the deported convict or indentured servant I always thought he was).

Cheers, Liz

Hi Amy

Thanks for volunteering, we are glad that you joined us! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can now start adding your family.

To find out if we have some of your ancestors, Just go to the top of your page by the WikiTree logo and fill in the search bars next to the magnifying glass icon. You will be surprised how many people we have with your various surnames listed!!

For helpful tips to get you on your way, please start with our New Member How-To pages.

I think you will enjoy the experience once you get comfortable being here. I know I have! Good luck and see you in the branches.
