Biography

François Sirois was born on 28 Aug 1791 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Jean-Baptiste parist in L'Isle-Verte. He was the son of Pierre Sirois and Marie Josephte Chaloux. Godparents at François' baptism WERE Ignace Côté and Marie Josephte Hion..

At age 27 François married Nathalie Michaud on 20 Oct 1818 in Saint-André parish. There were 10 known children born into this marriage. Francois died at age 69 on 10 Feb 1861 in Cacouna; he was buried two days later on 12 Feb in Saint-Georges parish cemetery in Cacouna.
