Elijah Lumpkin Sisk was born 25 Jun 1830 (date inscribed on tombstone) in Habersham County, Georgia.^[1] He was the son of Elijah Sisk and Eleanor (McIntire) Sisk.^[2]

Elijah was married three times and had 13 children (need to verify).

Elijah L Sisk was first married 13 June 1850 in Habersham County, Georgia to Mary Ann Taylor. ^[3] They had daughter:

1. Sarah C J Sisk ^[4][5], born 17 December 1852.

In the 1850 census, he was enumerated in Habersham County 2 December 1850 and lived with his parents and siblings. His wife was not listed in this household. ^[2] She must have been listed on another census.
