Biography

Hannah SIsson was born 7 Jun 1755 in Westerly, Kings County, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of William Sisson and Hannah Mullins.[1]

SISSON, Hannah, of William and Hannah, [born] June 7, 1755.

Hannah married Thomas Maxson at Westerly, 17 Dec 1772.[2] Thomas, son of Matthew Maxson and Martha Potter, was born 7 Jan 1750.

Children of Thomas Maxson and Hannah Sisson

Census records indicate Hannah and Thomas had at least six children. Known children are:

  1. Hannah, b. 4 Oct 1773 at Westerly, Rhode Island[3]
  2. Thomas, b. 17 Aug 1775 at Westerly, Rhode Island[4]
  3. Clarissa, b. 26 Dec 1798 at Salisbury, Litchfield, Connecticut;[5] m. Albert Foster 28 Nov 1822 at Salisbury[6]

Thomas Maxson died at Salisbury in 1821 and is buried at the Salisbury Center Cemetery, Salisbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut.[7] Hannah Maxson, died at Salisbury 14 Jan 1837, aged 81.[8]

Hannah was born in Westerly, Rhode Island in 1755[9]
