Hi, I created standalone profiles for three children of (father:Hattum Sjoerds & mother:Aaltzen Wierds). Since parents are PPP, could these be reviewed and added? thanks
Thank you for creating the children. I need a closer look to them before adding. I m just a little bit busy at real but will tomorrow I hope. I just hope you can be a little patient. :) The spelling of the first names of some looks strange.
I see you use the pedigrees of Family Search. Those pedigrees are not considered reliable as they do not have reliable/original sources added. You know AlleFriezen (AllFrisians)? I suggest try searching there instead of using the pedigrees used at FS or use "records" at FS.
B. I will search for the original sources and then add the profiles to the parents.
Thanks for queueing up taking a look at these. No worries as to when, this is all a long game.
The first name spellings did look unusual to me as well, but I take the spelling from birth or baptism record when it's found... and hopefully I retyped it correctly (when I don't cut-n-paste).
I do understand FamilySearch and Genealogy Online and other places are not real sources - I consider these as "hints" from which I look into OpenArchives and WieWasWie. And when these match, that gives a good confidence in the hints coming from FamilySearch, Genealogy Online, etc; when they don't I have to dig deeper. My philosophy in including these (I try to mark them under "see also", but sometimes I forget) is they may help someone else down the road, no point for another person to spend time looking for something that's already been found before.
This should simplify cross-site / cross-source comparisons between AlleFriezen and OpenArch.
Hope this helps you too.. and hope it makes sense, if not I'd be happy to chat more.
And if there's something I'm still missing, I'd like to know, any nudges you and other more experienced researches can give I can absorb it into my process and do better.
Thanks! -B

As for original sources, I'm not sure what further you mean by "original sources". I included the OpenArchives records I could find, which would be original sources, no? I notice many people use/prefer AlleFriezen when it comes to Friesland, however the OpenArch.nl/frl site has identical records data-wise (and it searches other regions, so I favor it). They even share the same record ID: if you look at source #1 in this record is from AlleFriezen ( https://www.allefriezen.nl/zoeken/deeds/fd9b51e7-a72f-47d5-ae92-fb6563c8d966?person=ee13a13b-5886-441d-a72c-f2b4f3a8c797 ), the ID ( fd9b51e7-a72f-47d5-ae92-fb6563c8d966 ) can be plugged into OpenArchives url for the same record, specifying frl region: ( https://www.openarch.nl/frl:fd9b51e7-a72f-47d5-ae92-fb6563c8d966 ). Also, the "?person=..." part is meaningless in the way the website parses the URL and can be dropped, only ( https://www.allefriezen.nl/zoeken/deeds/fd9b51e7-a72f-47d5-ae92-fb6563c8d966 ) is needed.
