Biography
Robert Skene of Potterton ... Burgess of Aberdeen
Robert was the fourth son (of 10) of James Skene and Janet Lumsden. His birth date is not known, but must be earlier than 1541 (based on his father's death in 1547, and 6 younger brothers.
He is first mentioned in the Council Register of Aberdeen in 1567, and was admitted as a Burgess in 1571.
He married twice, first to an un-named daughter of David Aedie (Adie) and Isobel Forbes on an unstated date (must be before 1568, probably before 1562, based on six children before his second marriage).
His second marriage was to Margaret Forbes (at Forbes) on 6 July 1574. They had one son and one daughter.
He died before 1597, probably 1593.

Skene-159 and Skene-55 appear to represent the same person because: These are clearly the same person. Birth date is unknown (at least according to the cited sources), so the two different estimates of a birth date should not block the merge.
