Mavis Jean (Skuse) Martin was born on 25 Jan 1918 in Goombungee, Queensland, Australia. She was the daughter of James Skuse and Helena Schafferius. Mavis was known as May. [1]

She worked as a Domestic in the Ipswich Hospital until her marriage to Harry Martin on 5 Feb 1938 in Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. [2]

Harry worked in the Railways workshop in Ipswich. Harry died of a heart attack and is buried in the Ipswich cemetery. May was kept busy with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her church. [3]

She died on 2 Apr 2015 in Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. [4]
