Francis Henry Slade was born about 1859 in Crewkerne, Somerset, England as the fourth child of Edward Slade and Mary Ann Slade. He had four siblings, namely: John, Susan, Edward Alfred, and Elizabeth Ann. He died in Jan 1945 in Frome, Somerset, England.When he was 29, he married Ellen Louisa Pickford,daughter of Job Pickford and Sarah Ann Davage, on 23 Jul 1888 in Church of the Holy Trinity, Selwood, Frome.
