Edith Slade was born in Indiana in August 1879. She was the daughter of Fredrick Slade and Anne Case.
At the time of the 1880 United States Census, Benjamine R., Elizabeth M., Jessie, and Benjamine Case were listed as living in Mishawaka, Indiana, along with Benjamin and Elizabeth's daughter Anna Slade, her husband Fredrick Slade, and Edith M. Slade, who was listed as Benjamin and Elizabeth's daughter, but must have been Frederick and Anne's daughter[1].
At the time of the 1900 United States Census, Fred, Anna, Edith, and Freddie Slade were listed as living in St. Joseph, Indiana[2].
