Biography

At the time of the 1841 England and Wales Census, Lady Slade, William, George, Sophia, and Gertendo Slade, and 11 other people were listed as living in Maunsell House, North Petherton, Somerset^[1].

At the time of the 1851 England and Wales Census, John Slade Bart, Matilda, Sophia L, and Gerteride Slade were listed as living in Muntis Court, Norton Fitzwarren, Somerset, along with 15 servants^[2].

Sophia married Adolphus Burton on 11 June 1863. Their marriage was registered in St George Hanover Square, Middlesex in the second quarter of 1863^[3].

Sophia died on 19 March 1920. Her death was registered in Eton, Berkshire in the first quarter of 1920^[4].
