11 May 1826 William was born in Washington County, Indiana.[1]

17 Aug 1848 William married Mary Ann Beard in Washington County, Indiana.[2]

1850 At the time of the 1850 Census, William and Mary Ann were living in Posey Township, Washington County, Indiana with their young son, John. William's brother James was living next door next door, and his parent were two doors away.[3]

The 1860 Census shows the family living in Table Rock Township, Izard County, Arkansas. There were five children in the household: John, George, Phoebe, Charles and Martha.[4]

The 1870 Census shows William and his family were living in Marion County, Illinois.[5]

1880 William and his family were living in Omega Township, Marion County, Illinois. Charles and Maggie are still living at home.[6]

1900 At the time of the 1900 US Census, William and Mary were living in Omega Township in Marion County, Illinois. They had been married for 52 years. John's father was born in North Carolina; his mother in Pennsylvania.[7]

9 Oct 1900 William died.
